Scotland target Tutani

- Bruce Chikuni Sports Reporter

VeTeRAN Division One coach, Arthur “Tuts” Tutani, could be back in the dugout in no time as he has been identified by Scottland FC leadership as the man to secure a Premiership ticket for their Zifa Northern Region Division One team.

Tutani was shown the exit by Triangle on Tuesday, after registering 11 points out of the available 21 in the Zifa eastern Region Division One.

In the period under review, Triangle found the back of the net 15 times and conceded five goals.

Triangle are nine points behind Wangu Mazodze, who are calling the shots in the ZIFA eastern Region Division One Soccer League.

however, the Chiredzi side have a game in hand, which could reduce the deficit to six points should they collect maximum points. But, Scotland FC, a team owned by Mabvuku-Tafara legislator, Scott Sakupwanya, are determined to redeem the coaching guru.

Tutani’s recent success in the Northern Region came two seasons ago when he powered Simba Bhora to Castle Lager Premiership.

Simba Bhora became the first team from Shamva to see the light of a top-flight league, and Tutani is behind that success.

“We have been monitoring Tutani since the start of the season and it has always been our wish to work with him either as the coach or technical director.

“We are fully aware of his situation and we are still considering what is best for the team but we are not dismissing any possibility of him joining us,” said a key figure at Scotland FC.

Tutani told Zimpapers Sports that he had no hard feelings about Triangle United’s leadership.

“I gave my all to the team and it’s just unfortunate that we were not moving with the expected speed.

“I’m fully responsible for this separation because I was the captain of the ship and there are no excuses for that.

“I haven’t decided anything yet, but I believe sooner or later I’m supposed to be back in the dugout doing what pays the bills,” said Tutani.

Scotland FC are lively in the championship marathon and they are just six points adrift of new leaders, Black Rhinos, who appear to have found their rhythm.
