KWACHA CDF CHAIRMAN, PASTOR MULENGA SUSPENDED
KWACHA Constituency Member of Parliament ( MP) Charles Abel Mulenga has suspended his Constituency Development Fund ( CDF) chairman Pastor Stanley Mulenga for unknown reasons
According to a letter of suspension dated June 7, 2024 , Mr Mulenga, who is popularly known as ' Kwacha strong Man ' among some UPND cadres, said according to powers vested in him to as Kwacha MP to appoint, he has decided to suspend his CDF chairman until further notice
But investigations by the Daily Nation revealed that the ' Kwacha constituency strong man' had decided to suspend his CDF chairman for various reasons including having ambitions to contest the Kwacha constituency in 2026 and his firm stance of not giving loans to UPND with no capacity to pay back the loans Some residents of Kwacha including UPND cadres told the Daily Nation that the CDF chairman has been suspended for harbouring ambitions to contest the Kwacha constituency seat in 2026, while others said Mr Mulenga was objective and firm in following the rules of guidelines of CDF hence he became unpopular among the UPND cadres who wanted to be given loans despite not have businesses that had capacity to pay back the loans
"Find out, the CDF chairman for Kwacha constituency Stanley Mulenga has been suspended by the MP for allegedly harboring ambitions to stand in Kwacha on in 2026. Apart from that, the CDF chairman has also been suspended for being firm on CDF guidelines. He has been refusing to give loans to UPND cadres who have no capacity to pay. So because of this, they have been saying CDF chairman Tatwaba nankwe meaning… we are not with him. So these are some of the reasons why he has been suspended" said some UPND cadres
And when contacted for a comment, Kwacha MP Charles Abel Mulenga told the Journalist to call him later
