Gordon Lee gets past Saddle Ridge

In an important contest with the No. 1 seed in the upcoming NGAC playoffs at stake, the Gordon Lee Lady Trojans scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to pull out a 4-3 home victory over Saddle Ridge last Tuesday.

With two outs, Kendahl Daniel kept the inning alive with a double to centerfiel­d and Paisley Johnson drew a walk to set the table for Reece Gremore, who came up clutch with an RBI-double to center that tied the game.

That brought up Alivia Poteet, who laced a single to right that allowed Johnson to race home with the game-winner.

Grace Shafer went 4 for 4 and Pressley Groce was 3 for 4, while Gremore had two hits for the Navy-and-White.

Josie Patterson pitched the first 5.2 innings, walking four batters with one strikeout. All three runs she allowed were unearned. Poteet pitched the last 1.1 innings and struck out one batter.

Kinslee Wilson went 4 for 4 on the night for the Lady Mustangs and Emory Beck had three hits for Saddle Ridge. Guffey was 2 for 4, while Brynn Raines and Hadley Hodge also had two hits apiece.

Ryland Stevenson pitched 6.2 innings, giving up two walks.

RINGGOLD 6, HERITAGE 2

Maya Satterfiel­d’s threerun triple in the bottom of the fifth inning provided the cushion the Lady Tigers needed as they scored a home win over their county rival last Tuesday.

Satterfiel­d finished 1 for 2 with a run scored and Shy Coker was 1 for 2 with two stolen bases and two RBIs. Lilah Grace Runion, Brooklyn Phillips, Kinsey Reece and Madi McGee each had singles.

McGee pitched 4.1 innings and allowed two earned runs with one strikeout. Satterfiel­d pitched 2.2 scoreless innings and struck out one in relief.

Collins Fletcher had three of Heritage’s seven hits. Two of those three hits were doubles and she also scored twice. Ella Spence and Lucy Borr each had doubles, while Rosie Miles and Athens Brown each had a single. Addie Wilson was credited with RBI.

Wilson threw 5.2 innings and gave up two walks with seven strikeouts, while Preslee Hollis pitched one-third of an inning in relief.

DADE 9, LAFAYETTE 0

The Lady Wolverines drove across the mountain from Trenton and scored six times in the top of the third to take control last Tuesday’s game.

Braeallie Whited was 2 for 2 with a stolen base for the Lady Ramblers, while Haigen Thompson had a single.

Madi Belle Stout pitched all five innings for LaFayette. She gave up seven hits and four walks with five strikeouts. All nine runs were earned as the Lady Ramblers did not commit any errors.

CHATTANOOG­A VALLEY 17, ROSSVILLE 3

The Lady Eagles picked up a home win last Tuesday as Jordyn Thomas went 2 for 2 with a triple and a threerun inside-the-park home run. She finished with three RBIs and three runs scored. Kacey Hart added an RBItriple, while Kaelynn Russell doubled, scored twice and drove in two runs.

Ari Sanderfur had a hit, drew two walks, scored twice and picked up one RBI and Addi Wallace was 1 for 1 with a walk and two runs scored.

Wilson pitched two innings and gave up two runs, though only one was earned. She struck out five batters and issued five walks. Allison White allowed one earned run in one hitless inning of relief. She walked two batters and had one strikeout.

Cayleigh Williams drew two walks, stole a base and scored twice for the Lady Bulldogs, while Angela Cronnon had a walk and a run scored.

Williams started the game in the circle, but was replaced by Macylynn Cronnon, who struck out two batters and did not give up an earned run in two innings of work.

TRION 10, LAKEVIEW 1

The Lady Warriors trailed 2-1 going into the bottom of the second last Tuesday when they gave up five runs as the home team took control for good.

Kate Suttles and Lana Miller were each 1 for 2. McKenzie Shannon was credited with the RBI and Micaylin Gravitt swiped a base.

Braylee Owens pitched four innings, walking one and striking out one.

LAKEVIEW 12, DALTON 4

After completing NGAC play earlier last week, the Lady Warriors played a nonleague game this past Thursday and rallied for a win in Fort Oglethorpe.

Dalton led 4-0 going into the bottom of the fourth inning when Lakeview’s bats woke up. The Red-and-White scored seven times in the frame, highlighte­d by a threerun triple from No. 9 hitters

Rylee Baker handed out nine assists, served up five aces and added a kill in the victory. Shiloh Gasaway had four aces, a kill, an assists and a dig and Adalynn Johnson had three kills, an ace and a dig. Dallas Payne chipped in with two aces and a pair of kills.

Emily Ray also had two kills and Laney Blaylock recorded two aces and one dig. The rest of the stats for GL included a kill from Ally Kate Brown and an ace by Brooklyn Bailey.

Back over the .500 mark at 4-3, Gordon Lee will look to keep it going at Lakeview on Tuesday of this week.

LAFAYETTE 2, TRION 0

The Lady Ramblers got five kills and an ace from Alex Dodson, three aces and a kill from Payton Mast and three aces from Ella Donahue in a 25-8, 25-16 win in Trion.

Malley Miller served up a pair of aces, while Aisha Woodard, Stevie Froemel and Jenna Pedersen had one ace apiece.

LaFayette (9-4) will host Chattanoog­a Valley on Tuesday of this week.

CHATTANOOG­A VALLEY 2, ROSSVILLE 1

The Lady Eagles won a thriller in Rossville, 25-17, 2325 and 25-23.

Individual stats for Chattanoog­a Valley were not available as of press time.

Gemma Berry ended up with five aces, four kills and a dig for the Lady Bulldogs. Domani Young had five kills and an ace, followed by Layla Martin with four kills and four aces and Malimah Jackson’s three kills, one ace and one dig.

Bailey Harris recorded four aces to go with two kills and two digs. Rory Till also had four aces and added two kills, a dig and 10 assists. Bella Lane’s night consisted of three assists and two digs, while Peyton Ledford had one dig.

CVMS (1-6) will travel to LaFayette on Tuesday of this week and Rossville (3-13) will play at Heritage.
