• Valley City Optimist will be hosting Babysittin­g Class on March 11 & 12, 3:30-5:30 p.m. and March 14, 3:30-5 p.m. at ELIM Evangelica­l Church, 1141 9th St SW. • You are invited to a Pizza Ranch Community Impact Fundraisin­g Event to benefit Class of 2024 Post-Graduation Celebratio­n. March 12th, 5-7:30 p.m. your Valley City Pizza Ranch will donate 20%of your guest check to the Class of 2024 to purchase prizes for the students to have a chance to win at the Post-Grad party.

• Valley City Chamber will host a Coffee & Conversati­on event, discussing Downtown Safety on Tuesday, March 12, 11:30 a.m. The event will be held at the Valley City Barnes County Public Library. • Barnes County Private Pesticide Training will be offered March 12th by Barnes County/NDSU Extension at the Eagles Club, 345 12th Avenue NE, Valley City. To be re-certified, private applicator­s need to attend a re-certificat­ion training OR complete a 60-question open book exam at the Barnes County Extension Office. New applicator­s need to attend the training and take a 30 question open book exam for certificat­ion. The exam may be taken directly after the training session. • Jefferson 3rd grade presents “A Night At The Movies” with performanc­es on Thursday, March 21st at 2 and 7 p.m. in the gymnasium under the direction of Mrs. Sarah Larsen.

• Viking Fish Fry will be held Friday, March 15, at the Valley City Eagles Club from 5-7 p.m. and includes fried fish, potatoes, coleslaw, garlic toast and a dessert. VCSU Booster Board will also be conducting meat raffles throughout the event. • 45th annual Runnin’ O’ the Green will be held in Jamestown on March 16th. One of the areas largest charity events this annual St. Patrick’s themed pub crawl raises thousands of dollars for Elk’s Camp Grassick and local cancer patients.
