Cole Palmeri opened his senior campaign at Colby in style, going 4-for-5 with doubles in each of the first two innings, a single in the third, a triple in the sixth and scored runs in four of the first seven innings against Maine-Farmington in the season opener
A free pass in the seventh inning put Palmeri on base in five of six appearances. Colby won the game, 24-6. The former Hun standout is coming off a 2023 season in which he batted .313 with eight home runs. He was an All-NESCAC selection as a catcher.
