Seven residents arrested on drug, firearm charges
Seven city residents were recently arrested on firearm and drug charges in connection with the recent execution of a search warrant by Troy Police Detectives.
Troy Police Special Operations Section Detectives received information from a community member regarding illegal drug sales at a residence on Glen Avenue. According to police, detectives continued their investigation and developed the probable cause necessary to support a court-ordered search warrant being issued.
Members of the Troy Police Department Emergency Response Team, assisted by the Colonie Police Department Special Services Team, executed the search warrant at 28 Glen Ave. Also at the scene were members of Troy Police’s Detective Division, Patrol Division, Evidence Technicians, Troy Fire Department Personnel, representatives from the City of Troy Code Enforcement Department and Troy’s Animal Control Officer.
As a result of the search warrants, an illegal, unserialized privately-made firearm was seized as well as heroin, cocaine and fentanyl. Evidence Technicians processed the scene and seven adults were taken into custody.
Arrested were Jose A. Borerro, 50; Jan Eiler-Roman, 18; Luis A. Morales, 53; Jennifer Roman-Vega, 40; Eric S. Roman-Vega, 37; Rikki Sullivan, 34; and Edith Valentin, 54.
Borrerro was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/ intent to sell and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Eiler-Roman was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/ intent to sell, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Morales was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Jennifer Roman-Vega and Eric S. Roman-Vega were each charged with criminal possession of a firearm, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/intent to sell, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Sullivan and Valentin were each charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

We will continue working hard to make our streets safer and cleaner.”
