Punxsy Chamber kicking off Festival in the Park with Wine, Shine and Hops Tasting
PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Punxsutawney Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Wine, Shine and Hops Tasting and wine walk on Friday, June 28, in downtown Punxsutawney.
Kim Neigh, chairperson, said there will be eight wineries, three distilleries, a mocktail, brewery and a cider, and the event will kick off Festival in the Park.
“There are two locations to register, 200 East Mahoning and 200 West Mahoning across from Rite-Aid and Berkshire Hathaway,” Neigh said.
Neigh added that the event is a tasting, and participants can purchase a glass or bottle of wine.
She said if you don’t drink, you can sample different mocktails or purchase them to take home.
“It starts at 4:30 p.m. next Friday until 7 p.m., and after that come over to the park for the band Rock of Ages, and the food vendors will be open,” Neigh said. “We have a courier service pickup location at 200 W. Mahoning St., and all wine must be picked up by 7:30 p.m.”
