Amalia “Molly” Mendez July 13, 1953 - May 12, 2024

PLYMOUTH - Amalia "Molly" Mendez of Plymouth, Indiana, entered into her eternal rest on May 12, 2024. Amalia was born on July 13, 1953 in Edinburgh, Texas, and was raised by her Mother and Grandmothe­r.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Salatiel Mendez, her children J. Antonio Mendez (Lucrecia), Amalia “Molly” Richey (Ryan), Salatiel “Sal” Mendez Jr. (Jodi), Maurilio Mendez (Monica), and Erica K. Mendez (Brendan) and grandchild­ren, Airman 1st Class Austin Richey, Tyler Richey, Winifryd “Finnley” Kareen, Mateo Mendez, Macario Mendez, and Marquez Mendez.

She was preceded in death by her two grandchild­ren Marcello Cristian Mendez and Manuel Gabriel Mendez, her mother Alberta Garza Salin, and her grandmothe­r Maria Felicita Perez Garza.

She took great pride and joy in being a caring mother, wife, grandmothe­r and friend. She was young at heart, energetic, and made friends everywhere she went. She was very welcoming to those in her community, including the clients she served since she was 14 years old as a hairstylis­t.

She will be greatly missed by the many that knew her. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9645 Deer Trail, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will immediatel­y follow at 1 p.m. Flowers can be sent to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Friday, May 24, 2024.

Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth. Memorial contributi­ons are directed towards Johnsondan­ielson Funeral Home towards Amalia's funeral expenses. Any excess funds received will go towards Salatiel's Pancreatic Cancer Battle.
