Duwayne P. Burch

Duwayne P. Burch, 81 years old, passed away at 11:40 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Duwayne was born on March 23, 1942 in Plymouth, IN to the late H. Dwight and Pauline (Baker) Burch. He has been a lifelong resident of North Liberty. On April 14, 1962 in North Liberty, Duwayne and Becky J. Weber were united in marriage.
Along with Becky, his loving wife of 61 years, Duwayne is survived by their two children, Todd (Karen) Burch of Walkerton and Tracey (Tom) Duff of Walkerton; four grandchildren, Nathan (Kristen) Burch, Eric (Ashley) Burch, Tyler (Jessica) Duff and Trevor (Kathy) Duff; and eleven great grandchildren, Kindra, Dwight, Warren, Wren, Willow, Daniel, Levi, Jaxon, Jenna, Wyatt, and Madilyn. Duwayne is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Linda Burch of Leesburg, IN, and many nieces and nephews.
Duwayne was a Master ASE Certified Mechanic working in the automotive industry for a total of 47 years. He retired from NIPSCO as a fleet mechanic. Duwayne was a faithful member of North Liberty Masonic Lodge #266, F & AM and the Tyner IOOF. He enjoyed collecting antique tractors and most importantly, spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023 at the Palmer Funeral Home, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan St., Lakeville. Graveside services and burial will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the funeral home where a Masonic and IOOF service will be held at 7 p.m. Friends may also visit with the family beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
