• Gleaners Community Food Bank food distribution event is every other Wednesday, at the Oakland County Farmers Market, with the next event, from 9-11 a.m. March 13, while supplies last, for anyone in need. • MI-UCP (Michigan United Cerebral Palsy) is celebrating its 75th year by partnering with The Detroit Red Wing Alumni for a fundraising and disability awareness event, March 16. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Arena in Orchard Lake. There will also be a rummage sale and 50/50 raffle. • Participating Dairy Queen restaurants, DQ.com, are celebrating the first day of spring by giving guests a free small, vanilla softserve cone during Free Cone Day on March 19. Guests may add a dip to their DQ cones for $1. The additional dollar, and donations will benefit pediatric patients at Corewell Health’s Beaumont Children’s, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Beaumont.org/CMN.

• The Olga Loizon Memorial Foundation is accepting grant applications in honor of the late founder of Olga’s Kitchen.
