San Ramon Valley's Elliot Conley had the hot hand early, and Seamus Deely had a nose for the ball late.

In between, San Ramon Valley played strong defense to keep Dublin from making any serious rallies Tuesday night as the Wolves extended their winning streak to 15 games with a 58-45 victory on the road in East Bay Athletic League boys basketball play.

Conley led the way with 21 points, 17 before halftime, and Deely pulled down key offensive rebounds down the stretch to keep possessions alive. He finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds for the No. 5 ranked Wolves.

Luke Isaak added 18 points — he was 6 for 6 from the foul line in the second half — as the Wolves improved to 19-3 overall and 5-0 in the league.

Dublin, No. 8 in the Bay Area News Group rankings, fell to 17-5, 3-2.

Conley made three 3-pointers in the first half and Deely scored eight of his points after the midway break.

“We can score points,” Conley said. “But defense is going to win us the game.” No. 12 Serra 71, No. 9 St. Ignatius 68 (OT)
