Adoptable Pets of the Week
Cold Noses, The Florida Times-Union's weekly pet column, features dogs and cats available for adoption at area government-run animal shelters.
Some shelters are operating with limitations stemming from the coronavirus pandemic. Contact individual shelters for more information.
Kitten season, which begins every April or May and lasts through the fall as warmer weather brings more feline births, is underway – so shelters need foster families. Some of the kittens are tiny but still have a mom to provide nutrition; some are orphaned and must be bottle-fed. The shelters provide supplies. Call individual shelters for more information.
