Roads to close for Bourbon & Beyond

Parking restrictions set for music festival

- Marina Johnson

One of Louisville’s largest music festivals, Bourbon & Beyond, is just around the corner, and several roads will be closed or restricted to accommodate traffic to and from the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

Taking place Thursday to Sunda, just one weekend ahead of Louder Than Life, the two festivals brought more than 300,000 attendees to the Bluegrass last year, generating millions.

With large crowds comes heavy traffic and difficulty locating prime parking, but planning can eliminate some frustrating festival commutes. Here’s what to know.
