Beulah Hoskins Rogers
LOUISVILLE - Beulah Hoskins Rogers, peacefully passed away on September 12, 2024 surrounded in love. Born in Baker Fork, KY, Beulah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kentucky Wesleyan University of Owensboro. She went on to receive her Masters from Western Kentucky University and Rank One Certificate from the University of Louisville. She retired from teaching after 30 years of teaching in three different counties. Beulah was a long-time member of Broadway Baptist Church and was a senior and active member of The Hunting Creek Country Club and its Nine Holes group where she even made a hole in one as a younger member. She hosted many occasions of the Wine and Wenches group. Beulah served the club as the Publication Director for their 40th Anniversary Book, for which she was also one of the Associate Editors, a member of the Hunting Creek Country Club 40th Anniversary Committee, and a gifted photographer for that publication. In her neighborhood she served on the board of the homeowner association of hunting creek. She served the wider Community as a very active member and donor to the Association of the Louisville Orchestra (ALO). Her dinners and entertainment for the A’ la Carte Experiences always sold out quickly from the little black book of the ALO. Beulah was a very beautiful and charming lady who loved to travel, play golf, and entertain guests with her husband, Ken. Their marriage of more than 17 years was one of love and reaching out to their large family for pool parties and holiday lunches and dinners at their beautiful home. Beulah was an excellent cook, and guests were always delighted to share a meal with her and Ken. When family visited, it was Grandma who made their day a wonderful experience. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cannogie and Hassie Chappell; her first husband, Kenneth Hoskins; and daughter, Angie Pilkerton. Beulah is survived by her loving husband, Ken Rogers; son, Guy Hoskins (LeeAnna), of North Carolina; daughter, Ashley Hoskins (Michael Richmond), of Iowa; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
