- Lt. Phillip Troy Cammack passed away on August 11,2024. He left behind his son, Tyler Cammack, significan­t other Lindsay Usher (beloved dog, Zeke), his mom Jeanette Conliffe (Kenny), stepfather Bill Weber (Mindee), sisters Tara Schweitzer, Tammy Hailey (Phillip), Tina Durham (Jerry) and brother Todd Hutchison (Lisa) and David Schweitzer. He also had several nieces and nephews he adored Nathan, Emily, Justin, Christy, Jake, Cameran, Logan, Carson, Kaden and Lucy as well as many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Terry and Linda Cammack. Troy graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1989. He went on to serve in the National Guard and had 30 years of law enforcemen­t service with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, Prospect Police, West Buechel and Heritage Creek. He also served as the fitness and strength coach for Assumption Soccer and was security for the Assumption Athletics Department along with a plethora of other off-duty jobs. Troy was a proud father, son, brother and uncle. He had a lot of passions in his life. He was a 4th degree black belt in Japanese karate, an amazing dancer, and recently opened a fitness studio, where he took pride in helping others achieve their fitness goals. Troy had friends from all walks of life and enjoyed traveling all around to meet them in various destinatio­ns with Las Vegas being his favorite. Troy adored his son Tyler with all of his heart and was a loving boyfriend to Lindsay. A visitation for Troy will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A visitation will occur Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbak­er Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40243 with cremation to follow.
