- Mrs. Margaret Frances Pogue, age 93, of Louisville passed into Heaven on Friday, August 9, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Nicholasvi­lle, KY. She was surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was a native of Edmonson County, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Vernes and Beulah (Davis) Richards, her husband, Jack L. Pogue; son, Mark Anthony Pogue; granddaugh­ter, Amber Lauren Pogue; grandson, David Michael Sparrow; great-granddaugh­ter, Reagan Amber Pogue; 4 brothers, Charles, Donald, Kenneth, and Daymond Richards; sister-in-law, Estelle Baird (Tom); and brother-in-law, Shelby Pogue.

She is survived by a sister, Betty Smith; 2 brothers, Raymond Richards (Shirley) and Gerald (Jerry) Richards; sister-in-law, Bonnie Richards; children, Lindle Pogue (Diane), Linda Smith (Ron), Jackie Pogue (Lois), Beverly Sparrow (Dave), and David Pogue (Sharon); Daughter-in-law, Shelly Dadisman (Joe); 16 grandchild­ren; and 27 great-grandchild­ren.

Margaret was a faithful member of Okolona Church of Christ and a faithful attendee of Jessamine Christian Church while living with her daughter. She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family. She was an avid quilter and corn-hole bag maker, enjoyed lake life, loved growing flowers, bowling with the Easy Rollers, and playing cards.

Funeral service will be held at Schoppenho­rst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in Shepherdsv­ille, KY on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 3 pm EST with Minister Larry Sawyer (The Big Spring Church of Christ) and Minister Lee Faust (Jessamine Christian Church) officiatin­g followed by cremation. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1-3 pm preceding the funeral. Expression­s of sympathy may go to Okolona Church of Christ or Bluegrass Navigators (Hospice) in Lexington, KY.
