7 tribute bands to catch in Louisville

Acts celebrate Swift, Bee Gees, Journey, others

Didn’t score a ticket to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour? Or maybe you did and now feel the need for more Swiftie vibes minus the astronomic­al ticket price. The Brown Theatre is hosting a Taylor Swift tribute show this weekend that could scratch that itch.

And it’s not just Swifties who can cash in on shows costing a fraction of the price of the real McCoy. Tribute bands playing in Louisville this summer have nearly every music genre covered from disco to heavy metal, New Wave to Tom Petty and of course, the iconic Rolling Stones.

Here are seven tribute bands performing in Louisville:

Swift: A Tribute to Taylor Swift

WHAT: An intimate evening celebratin­g Taylor Swift’s timeless music. “Swift” is your ticket to a night filled with chart-topping hits and cherished deep cuts. The dynamic Taylor Swift tribute band takes the audience on a journey through the iconic performer’s career. The stage comes alive with a video wall production, adding a visual spectacle that complement­s the music.

Bee Gees Tribute

WHAT: The only outdoor and free concert in our summer tribute band lineup, Radiotroni­c’s Bee Gees Tribute takes place at Friday Fest in Highview Park. The family-friendly event includes food trucks and activities plus more than enough grassy space to enjoy a picnic, disco dance and sing along to your favorite Bee Gees hits.

WHERE: Highview Park is located at 7201 Outer Loop. Enter through Briscoe Lane.

WHEN: Gates will open at 5 p.m. Friday, and music will run 6-10 p.m.

WHAT: This 18-and-up show features your favorite Journey songs with special guests Emmy Jean (Southern Sirens) and Matthew Quinney.

Def Leggend: The World’s Greatest Tribute To Def Leppard

WHAT: This Def Leppard tribute band from Dallas, Texas, is headed north to Louisville and will perform the heavy metal band’s greatest hits, including “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Photogaph,” “Love Bites” and more.
