Notes: Butler is ranked No. 14 in the state and is 10-0 against Sixth Region opponents this season, making the Bearettes the favorites to capture their first regional title since 2017. Candyce Wheeler was named Sixth Region Coach of the Year in her first season at the helm. … Bullitt Central’s Bickett, a 5-foot-5 freshman, ranks fourth in the state in 3-pointers made with 90. The Cougars rank second in the state in 3point attempts (733) and fifth in 3pointers made (235) for a 32.1% clip. … Western’s Durrah, a 5-8 junior, ranks third in the state in rebounding at 14.6 per game. … The Sixth Region champion will face the Eighth Region winner at 6 p.m. March 13 in the first round of the Mingua Beef Jerky/KHSAA Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena in Lexington.
