Lenora (Lee) Giardina
Lenora (Lee) Giardina, passed away with her family at her side on Friday, March 8, 2024. Lenora was born on December 11, 1940 in Paterson, NJ later living in Ringwood and Wayne, NJ spending final years in Toms River, NJ. She was raised by her mother Hazel (Bhend) and father Leonard DePiano with her sister Diane. She was the mother of two children: Roseann (Andrew) and LoraAnn. Lenora began her career as a legal secretary for the Passaic County District Court. Later working for Scott Foresman publishing company.
She actively served her communities through volunteering. In Ringwood she was a Member and Vice-Chairman of the Recreation Commission and Advisor of Ringwood (Rattlers) Football Cheerleading for many years. In Wayne, Lenora was a proud member of Wayne ELKS #2181 and greeted and transported patients while volunteering at the Wayne General Hospital.
Lenora’s love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was unmistakable. She was actively involved in each of their lives, always rooting them on as their Number #1 Cheerleader. Her grandchildren Marissa (Jason), Chelsea (Logan), Nicholas, Kaitlynd, Connor, and the late Erin Lee were greatly loved as were her great-grandchildren Raegan , Collyns and Lucella. She was married to Joseph Giardina for 60 years. Joseph met and fell in love with Lenora (Lee) at Our Lady of Lourdes CYO in Paterson, NJ in 1958. After Joseph was discharged from the U.S. Navy they were engaged and married.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Saturday, March 16, 2024 2:00pm-4:00pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
