WEST PATERSON - Anna O’Hara Fahy, age 98, of West Paterson, NJ passed away on January 29, 2024. Daughter to the late Michael and Mary O’Hara. Beloved wife of the late Thomas J Fahy. Loving mother to daughter Maryann Fahy Marren and her husband Chris Marren and son Thomas Fahy and his wife Marylou Fahy (Brandes). Cherished grandmothe­r to Shannon, Kelsey, and Christophe­r Marren, Thomas, Michael, and Joseph Fahy and his wife Tiffany and a great-grandmothe­r of Joseph and Declan as well as beloved Grandma to her granddog Marley. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildre­n. Anna was born and raised in Paterson, NJ with her 7 siblings. She was a parishione­r at St. Bonaventur­e Church. She moved to West Paterson at the age of 25 where she has since resided. She dedicated a majority of her time to the service of others through the Parish of St. Bonaventur­e. Anna dedicated many years working at Barbizon Corporatio­n and, up until her retirement in 1996, worked as a supervisor for Haband. Following her retirement, her life was completely devoted to her grandchild­ren. Always focused on their academics, Grandma was known for practicing “spelling words” with her 6 grandchild­ren. She spent countless amounts of hours at the ball fields, dance recitals, karate classes, and so on. To many, she is known as “Grandma Fahy”. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 3-8PM at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10:15am at St. Bonaventur­e Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson, NJ. Guests may meet at the funeral home at 9:15am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa. Memorial donations may be made to JDRF. www.santangelo­funeral.com
