Bakersfiel­d – Lisa Marlene Pierce passed away unexpected­ly on May 24, 2024. She was born January 11, 1969, in Bakersfiel­d California, to Jim and Jeannette Pierce.

Lisa graduated from Arvin High School, Class of 1987. Where she was a member of the Marching Band, playing the flute and enjoyed every minute. Following graduation Lisa worked for the Kern County Superinten­dent of Schools and later the Kern High School District, retiring in 2019.

Lisa loved working with disabled students, loved her cats and dogs, had an amazing memory, and her movie and TV knowledge was incredible. She was the family historian, always rememberin­g the exact date, time, and details of every event. She was a member of the Ham Radio Club, which is no small feat. She loved people, made friends easily and loved to talk. Lisa never tried to be someone she was not; she was always true to herself and marched to the beat of her own drum.

Lisa was predecease­d by her Grandparen­ts, Dr. & Mrs. Carrol W. Goss, Lee & Jesse Pierce, Father Jim Pierce, Nephew Clay Patrick Farr. Surviving relatives include her Mother Jeannette Pierce, Sister Carrol Alderete & husband Anthony, Sister Lori Salyards & husband Tim, Nephew Chad Farr, Neice Taylor Messing & husband Matt, Nephew Cody Salyards & wife Ally, Niece Courtney Brown & husband Dennis, and great Nieces & great Nephews, Bristol, Piper, Madison, Emma, Tate, and Caleb.

Lisa's family would like to thank Davita Dialysis for their compassion and care for Lisa. Thank you to Solstice Senior Living for welcoming Lisa and for their help and compassion in Lisa's times of need. We would also like to thank her excellent doctors. We appreciate all of you. And last, we would like to say goodbye for Lisa, to all her friends, all of you meant the world to her. God Bless.

Services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, on June 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
