Francis (Frank) DeMasi, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away on July 14, 2024, at age of 94.

He was a graduate of Stamford High School, where he met his sweetheart, Dolores DeMasi, and was married on August 30,1952, with whom they had two sons.

Frank was a devoted father, grandfathe­r, and greatgrand­father. He served in the Korean War and worked at Genovese Supply Company for 35 years. Frank was a member of the Boy Scouts for over 50 years, serving as District Commission­er. He was an active member of the VFW and Knights of Columbus, as well as the church of St. Mary’s and the Holy Name Society in Stamford, CT.

He will be remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to his grandchild­ren, who affectiona­tely referred to him as, “Grumpy”, never missing a single sporting event, no matter the distance or weather. His proud presence in countless Parades, marching alongside his fellow veterans in the VFW and supporting the Boy Scouts of America. He was honored to serve as Grand Marshall of the 2009 Stamford Memorial Day Parade, a true show of his commitment to community. Above all, he cherished his beloved wife, Dolores, their love a shining example to all who knew them.

He is survived by son, Michael, grandchild­ren, Michael (Hallie), Jason (Michelle) and Kelly. Greatgrand­children, Emma,

Drew, Dillion and Lily, his sister-in-law, Joan Crolla, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predecease­d by his beloved wife, Dolores, son, Frank Jr., parents, Rose and Salvatore, brothers, Angelo, Michael, and sisters, Mary Amato and Ernestine Inzitari.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St Mary’s Church, 566 Elm Street, in Stamford, followed by his entombment at St. John’s Cemetery, in Darien.
