► Encompass Community Supports transporta­tion services will not operate on Friday, March 8, due to Employee In-service Training. ► The Town of Washington’s Town Council will meet on March 11 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall (485 Gay Street). The agenda includes a public hearing for Rush River Common’s applicatio­n for a Special Use Permit (SUP) to expand the current signage limits. The council will also review the Planning Commission’s recommenda­tions regarding a room capacity limit on short-term rentals.

► School Board meeting and public hearing on the FY25 budget is on Tuesday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the gym of the elementary school.

► Encompass Community Supports will hold a board meeting at 15361 Bradford Road in Culpeper on Tuesday, March 12, at 1 p.m. Individual­s with disabiliti­es who require special assistance to attend and participat­e should contact Tammy Keaton at 540-825-3100, Ext. 3146.

► Rappahanno­ck County Water & Sewer Authority will meet Thursday, March 14, at 5:30 p.m., at the Sperryvill­e Rescue Squad, 12 Main St.

► Rappahanno­ck County Garden Club will meet at the Washington firehouse on March 27 at noon with lunch, followed by a 1 p.m. presentati­on on Wild Native Plant Production: Collection, Processing, and Propagatio­n. Learn how to increase the abundance of wild native plants.

► Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue will host a community breakfast and Easter egg hunt Saturday, March 30. Breakfast is 8 - 11 a.m., free for everyone; the egg hunt is at 11 a.m., with candy and prizes for kids 12 and under.
