Island H2O Water Park is adding more special events to its calendar, including spring break programming and footballdriven tailgating weekends this fall.

“It’s honestly something that our consumers have been enjoying,” said Todd Andrus, senior director of marketing. “We did it last year … and got rave reviews about the events.”

The Kissimmee attraction’s event lineup kicks off with Spring Break Bash, a Thursday-Friday-Saturday occasion from March 11-24.

“We’re really positioning this as the place to be for spring break for the locals, both Orange County as well as Osceola County,” Andrus said.

The spring break event will include activities such as an interactive DJ, movies and family foam parties, which Island H2O introduced last year and that Andrus said was a kid favorite.

“They get all foamy, and then they go jump on the wave pool to clean off, but they just have a great time,” he said.

Island H2O will host a two-day Egg-Stravaganza on March 30-31 (hidden eggs with in-park prizes), Dive In Movies Nights from May 31 through Aug. 2, and more foam party weekends in April and August.

Saturdays in June and July will be dedicated to the new Island Beats programming and live entertainment.

“This will range from anything from like a steel-drum band or an island-type music band, up to DJs playing the latest music,” Andrus said.

The new Tailgate Weekends in September and October will feature football games on the park’s Jumbotron, scavenger hunts and specialty food and beverage options. The scavenger hunts are another kid-crowd fave, Andrus said.

“It’s a way of surprising and delighting guests and giving them that extra experience that maybe they weren’t expecting, but it makes them happy,” he said.

Island H2O Water Park features more than 20 attractions, including slides, raft rides, wave pool, lazy river and a pool for folks at least 21 years old.

These 2024 events are included with season passes to the attraction, which are currently selling for $59.99. (The price goes up on Feb. 1, although the park has not announced by how much.) Other passholder benefits include unlimited visits, free parking, souvenir cups and a friend ticket that must be used by May 27.
