Clara Isabelle Sills

-

Clara Isabelle Sills, 93, passed away peacefully on February 2nd, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on December 9th, 1930 in Lemon, Pennsylvania to Fred Cragle and Ida Mae Reider. She met her lifetime love, Clarence B. Sills at the town Rollerdrome, where they skated together. They were married on September 13th, 1954 at the Tunkhannock Methodist Church. They continued their life together over the next 20 years, in service to our country until Clarence retired. During her life she was on her high school yearbook team, taught Sunday school, and was a cub and girl scout leader. She pursued her passion of nutrition through her sister’s restaurant and worked at the local high school lunchroom. Throughout her life she loved roller skating, dancing, playing cards, working outdoors in her garden, walking her property, cooking, and spending time with her family. One of her goals in life was to be the best wife, mother, sister, and grandmother that she could be and she accomplished this and more. She is remembered by family and friends as humble, generous, kind, resilient and most of all loving. She always found the silver lining in life no matter the circumstances. She will be profoundly missed but lived a long life that impacted so many around her. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her other Cragle siblings. She is survived by her son, Timothy Sills (Sandi) of Mims, Florida, her daughter Cynthia Crain (William) of Geneva, Florida, her granddaughter, Ashley Crain (Mark) of Davie, Florida, her great granddaughter, Emilia Isabelle, and many other family members. Services will be held privately by the family. In honor of our family, a donation to a military organization of your choice is appreciated. Our family supports Wreaths Across America and Wounded Warrior Project.
