Channel your inner Elle Woods for Legally Blonde auditions at The Green Room
Auditions for Legally Blonde at The Green Room Community Theatre are coming soon! With music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, and the book by Heather Hach, Legally Blonde is based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the Metro-GoldwynMayer motion picture starring Reese Witherspoon. The musical follows a sorority sister-valley girl who goes to Harvard Law School to get her boyfriend back and ends up defying expectations while staying true to herself.
Auditions for this musical will be on June 24 & 25, 2024 at 7 pm. The show is being produced by Cargo Transporters. This production will be directed by Hannah Nuhfer, musically directed by Joey Nuhfer, and choreographed by Holley Dagenhardt and Presley Smith. Roles, including ensemble and principals, are available for adults and youth ages 16+. This musical will have a large cast with 26-35 roles. All ethnicities are welcome. Character breakdowns and details can be found on the audition page on our website- www.thegreenroomtheatre.org. Please prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song of your choosing (preferably not from the show). Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided. The audition will also include a dance call. Be sure to dress in comfortable & appropriate clothing and shoes. Auditions may also consist of readings from the script.
You must be available for all performances which are scheduled for August 30, 31, September 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 2024. There is a Producer’s Night TBD. Please bring your list of rehearsal conflicts with you. You MUST be able to attend all of the tech week (the week before the show opens) unless in rare emergency cases an exception is approved before being cast by the director. Conflicts do not necessarily exclude you from a role.
