Trump Gets ‘Stormed’: Daniels’ Lurid Testimony

THE ISSUE: Stormy Daniels’ testimony in the hush money case against former President Donald Trump.

- Palmer Woodrow Los Angeles, Calif.

Stormy Daniels went on and on to relate every salacious detail in order to embarrass former President Donald Trump. (“Dems give Don the full Lewinsky,” May 8)

The judge refused a mistrial request by the defense, which speaks volumes about the sham case perpetrated against Trump.

Hopefully this case will be overturned by the New York State Appeals Court, but the damage to Trump has been accomplished by those who want him to lose the election in November. Richard A. Ketay

If you have even one gray hair on your head, you might think Trump would not have been elected in 2016 if his adultery with Stormy Daniels had gotten out in the open.

Remember the headwinds then-President Bill Clinton suffered when his affair with Monica Lewinsky surfaced in the ’90s: He was impeached, which demonstrated the

still-powerful moralist mood of the electorate.

There was a conservative Christian morality movement gaining even greater momentum in the Republican Party by the time of the 2016 election. Stormy’s story would have devastated Trump among the base of his party.

But that’s the great thing about America. Today, you can entertain whatever delusion you’d like about your political hero, go out and vote for

a lying adulterer and somehow still manage to sleep at night.

The trial is a circus with DA Alvin Bragg’s legal sherpas programming this monster “victim” to create the most salacious and embarrassing testimony that they could.

I’m aware that this trial is being conducted in NYC, but I still am holding out hope that reason will ultimately prevail. Mitchell Schwefel

This is an embarrassment. How can the judge allow Stormy Daniels to tell that story at such length, in such detail? It had nothing to do with the case.

This needs to stop. What are the chances that at least one of the jurors will not go along with a guilty verdict?
