Drawing on original research, Purnell uncovered the secret life of Virginia Hall, an American spy in Nazi-occupied Europe. Overcoming numerous obstacles including physical disability and sexism, Hall became America’s most prized operative in Vichy, France.
Free copies of “A Woman of No Importance” will be available at the Hamilton Lane Library, 300 N. 3rd St., with additional copies available at locations around the city. Readers are encouraged to read their copy and share it with someone else in Hamilton to enjoy. Copies also will be available for purchase following the keynote talk.
