Local equipment rental company is now under new ownership

The business formerly known as Hays Rental & Sales, Inc., is under new proprietor­ship and new owner Clark Burton is re-branding the business by building on a well-establishe­d foundation and the potential to change the landscape of the equipment rental and sales business on South Arkansas, according to a press release.

The acquisitio­n was expected to be completed Sept. 1.

Burton said Flying B Rental is committed to continuing Hays Rental’s reputation of providing topnotch service to meet the needs of its customers.

Founded by John Hays in 1974, Hays Rental offered equipment rental and sales — tools, equipment and supplies for constructi­on, maintenanc­e and repair projects and special events — to homeowners, contractor­s and industries in El Dorado, South Arkansas, including the Diamond Lakes area, and North Louisiana. Often the go-to location for a comprehens­ive range of products and services, including medical equipment, lifts, power tools, lighting, tents, inflatable­s and portable toilets in the region, Hays Rental has been a stalwart of the local economy.

Burton said Flying B Rental will carry on Hays’s legacy of customer-centric service.

“We’re stepping into the future while honoring the past,” Burton said.

“John Hays built a business rooted in exceptiona­l customer service and we’re thrilled to carry that legacy forward,” he continued. “We might have a new name, but our dedication to history, service and the provision of essential products to businesses and industries will remain unchanged.”

Continuing in that tradition, Flying B Rental will also offer a broad spectrum of products and services, including industrial equipment — lifts, power tools, lighting, pressure washing, painting equipment, concrete tools, air compressor­s and digging machinery.

A diverse range of home and lawn tools will be available for rental and sale and the company’s renowned party and events department will carry on with tents, tables, chairs, inflatable­s, games and luxury toilets for special occasions.

Flying B Rental will expand their offerings to include portable hand washing stations for industrial use and special events.

Under Burton’s leadership, growth and expansion are key focal points for the company, according to the press release.

“We have an accomplish­ed team of profession­als dedicated to ensuring the utmost customer satisfacti­on,” Burton said.

“With the imminent expansion of the thoroughfa­re and our prominent location (at 525 W. Hillsboro), we are excited to fortify our presence in the community and contribute to its growth for the next 50 years,” he added.
