JAMES “STEVE” CARROLL

James “Steve” Carroll, age 70 of El Dorado, passed away on January 7, 2024 at Baptist Health in Little Rock. He was born June 21, 1953 in El Dorado, AR to Hubert Carroll and Betty Nesbitt.

Steve was of the Baptist faith, and was employed by El Dorado Water Company in the maintenanc­e department. He loved to deer hunt, build houses, ride four wheelers, and play with his grandsons. His dogs were everything to him.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a brother, Mike Carroll; sister-in-law, Toni Carroll; and nephews, Caleb and Heath Carroll.

He is survived by his life partner, Sandy Evans of sixteen and a half years; brother Tim Carroll; his children, Jessica Cranford (James), Brandon Yarbrough and Blake Evans (Kristina); grandchild­ren, Jacob Cranford, Josh Cranford and Liam Evans; special daughters, Miranda and Tammy; nieces, Maleace and Jessie Carroll; and numerous cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Young’s.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11th, in the Chapel at Young’s Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Sycamore Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Pallbearer­s will be Charles Chandler, George Chitwood, Adam Chandler, Bruce Bridges, Tommy Fuller and Jim Rimmer.
