Make-your-own-pasta event sells out fast
Stay tuned: Rochester hot ticket may repeat
It was one of Rochester’s hottest tickets when it came up: a foodie event with a small number of people and a creative concept.
Tickets to the event — called The Miscela Project — sold out in less than one day on Tuesday, by early afternoon.
Making good food together. And hanging out with fun people. That’s the heart of the idea behind it.
The April 30 dinner at Pearson’s Market had an eventbrite page. It said:
“Miscela is an interactive dining (experience) focused on creating community and fun through food. Make pasta with friends in a lively environment, then sit down and enjoy a four-course meal featuring locally sourced ingredients.
● Aperol Spritz bar when you arrive
● Pasta rolling and shaping
● Vino, booch, and tunes to keep the party going
● A four-course meal w/ local ingredients from @growingfamilyfarms and
YOUR hand rolled pasta.
● Tickets are $125 pp and include the entire experience, drinks, meal, tip, & tax — leave your card at home. ($135 w/ all web fees).”
The making of Rochester’s Miscela Project food event
Rolling your own pasta one element of Miscela that was catching people’s eye on Instagram. Its slogan: [mix] [eat] [drink] [enjoy].
This was the first such event. But stay tuned for possible future ones by following them on IG: @themiscelaproject. More from their Instagram:
“Ciao + welcome to The Miscela Project. An Italian leaning, interactive dining experience that celebrates food and beverage as a powerful element in creating community and lasting memories. Created by @joe.morrell and @natasha.bethh, Miscela is designed by food-focused friends striving to celebrate the greater community that has changed our lives. ...
Miscela is a Project. It is both a toast to, and a product of, the vibrant, creative and dynamic people who make up the restaurant industry. We are so grateful to many local creatives who have already contributed to the concept and look to continue to celebrate and highlight Rochester talent.
We can’t wait to continue this journey, pour you a glass of wine, make pasta, and share a meal. This is about community and we are so excited to welcome you into the kitchen.”
