Super Subby’s

7760 Waynetowne Blvd., Huber Heights

Date of inspection: July 30

Violations: Observed chili hot holding at 107F at time of inspection. PIC pulled chili and heated in microwave to 165F to place back in warmer and turned up warmer to ensure hot holding.

Observed #2 sweet garlic, #3 Teriyaki, and #7 garlic buff (manufactur­er states to keep refrigerat­ed after opening) at room temperatur­e with other shelf stable sauces at time of inspection. PIC placed in refrigerat­ion at time of inspection.

Observed open bag of meatballs on bottom shelf of walk in cooler without date. PIC states is was probably from yesterday.

Observed cooked chicken on bottom shelf of walk in cooler in bag without date. PIC stated it was probably made yesterday.

Sea Jax Tavern

5900 Bigger Road, Kettering

Date of inspection: July 30

Violations: Observed no time stamp for batter and milk for fried items. PIC time stamped items.

Observed build up on hood filters above grill top, fans throughout facility, portion of equipment underneath grill top, gaskets of coolers on grill line, and roof of microwaves. Discussed cleaning in a frequency to preclude build up with PIC.

Yumi Boba Tea

170 Woodman Drive, Dayton

Date of inspection: July 30

Violations: Boba is being hot held at 105 degrees F at the time of the inspection. Boba is considered a cooked vegetable product and is thus a temperatur­e controlled for safety food product. Ensure to hot hold at a minimum of 135 degrees F.

Unable to locate a probe thermomete­r at the time of the inspection. Ensure have a probe thermomete­r on site to be able to spot check food temperatur­es.

Ice machine has some build up of debris. Clean the ice machine and on regular basis to prevent the build up of debris.

Fan unit on the open face merchandis­er has excessive build up of debris. Clean and then as needed.

Single use utensils being stored for consumer self service with eating portion pointed up. Ensure that the food and lip contact surface is protected from possible contaminat­ion. Discussed with person in charge about dispensing with the handle up.

Storing various items in the hand sink basin making the hand sink inaccessib­le. Ensure the hand sink is available for hand washing at all times. Removed several items so that hand sink can be used.

Comments: Cold holding foods below 41 degrees F.
