Lots of familiar events will fill Labor Day weekend, but there are some new attractions also.

Festival Coordinator Tracy Houin said, "We have lots of great new stuff! The biggest one is the drone show on Saturday night."

She said it will be held in the same area festival-goers would see fireworks. "You can watch the drone show we have in the kids area. We have RC racers coming in, that's new. You can drive little race cars and that's over in our free kids section."

Houin said the festival will have a section at the park toward the front by Symphony Restaurant inside the ballpark that offers a bunch of free entertainment and kids activities.

"We have Heartland Artists coming in, the museum will have a presentation and Tippecanoe State Park will do some demonstrations along with the 4-H Dog Show," she said.

"We also have a canine entertainment, which is another dog show that we've paid to come in to entertain for more than one day," Houin said. "And then also new this year, too, The Rees theater is going to be providing a free kids, kids movie Friday night in that front kids section and the first 200 people get free popcorn."

Here is a rundown of events in the children's area. All events are free, with the exception of pony rides and carnival.
