Moms should protect their kids
The number of children who die from child abuse in the AV is concerning. All too often, when the media reports of another a child abuse death, it is the “live-in boyfriend” who is the abuser. Moms, I understand you have companionship needs, but when it comes down to the “live-in boyfriend” or protecting your child, there should be no doubt that you will protect your child.
Political campaign funds are a piggy bank for politicians. Right here in California, we have a representative who takes lavish trips to Europe and Middle East kingdoms, staying and dining in the finest the country has to offer — all on campaign funds. If this is legal, the FEC needs to change how campaign funds can be spent.
Alison Cameron took me to task for commenting on President Joe Biden taking 53 weeks to visit the catastrophic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio. Her point is presidential visits are a hindrance to the cleanup task and I agree, but that only applies to the first month after the accident. Presidential visits are a show of empathy for the victims and not visiting until 53 weeks after the accident screams “I don’t care,” not “I stayed away because I didn’t want to hinder the cleanup effort.” The fact is Biden delayed visiting until it became an election year political liability.
Why do politicians feel they are so important to the running of the country that they need to stay in office well beyond when they are 75 years old?
Observe a glass of water, put your finger in a glass of water and then remove your finger. Did the glass of water change when you removed your finger? Nope, it looks the same as before you put your finger in the glass. Other equally capable or more capable citizens will replace you and six months later we will not know you are gone. Retire and live out your remaining few years with friends and family.
