Lindheimer, Donna Anne

-

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Donna Anne Lindheimer, peacefully took her last breath in the early morning as the beautiful sun rose to light the day on June 26, 2024. She went home to the heavens with the comfort of her family at her bedside. Donna has joined her parents, Donald Gagnon and Anna Gagnon (Masoni) in eternal rest.

Born on June 3, 1947, in Troy, N.Y., Donna grew up in Speigletown, N.Y. She graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1965 and went on to take a few secretarial jobs before finding her true passion as an Operating Room (OR) nurse, helping and caring for patients. Donna worked at several hospitals during her career that included Leonard Hospital, St. Mary’s and Saratoga Hospital. She continued to work for several years as an OR nurse while she and her husband of 53 years, Frederick, cared for and raised three beautiful children, Stacey, William, and Eric. She loved her job because the simplicity of helping others brought her such joy, and finally decided to hang up her scrubs to care for her mother.

Donna took care of her mother with the help of her siblings for many years. When Donna’s mother passed, she passionately entered the next chapter of her life. She loved to spend time with friends, golfing, walking, reading her bible, traveling and exploring the world with her Husband. Recently Donna and Fred traveled to Italy and France, as well as took several memorable annual trips to Florida, with stops in Maryland, as well as family vacations to Myrtle Beach, Cape Cod, and Lake George.

Donna was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many that knew her. She was a woman of faith that prayed fearlessly and trusted in God with all her heart. And because of her faith, she was an inspiration to many. Her biggest pride and joy were her family that she dearly loves. She put others before herself and was full of kindness, compassion, and above all, love. Her love for her family could be heard on the sporting fields/court, school events, and even in the quiet times you could feel her prayers. Donna has left behind a legacy of faith and joy that will forever be carried by her husband, Frederick; her daughter, Stacey (Kevin Ralston); and sons, William (Tara) and Eric (Talia); along with her seven precious grandchildren, James Donald, Joshua, Alyssa, Ella, Tessa, Zachary, and Gavin. Donna leaves an enormous void in the hearts of every person that has met her and come to know her during her journey on this earth and she will forever be missed, but knowing Donna, she would remind us do not be sad, be joyful. Heaven has received a beautiful Angel that will watch over us.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Donna’s life with her husband and children on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Viewing will commence at 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., with a service immediately thereafter, at William J. Burke &

after, at William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, we request that a donation to a charity of your choice be considered. As Donna has helped so many, a simple gesture intended to better the good of another is the greatest gift of all.

The family would like to thank Dr. Barnes and the medical/nursing staff in the neurological Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Albany Medical Center for the compassionate care and comfort provided to Donna.
