GREEN - Kathi Lee Nutter (née Walters), affectiona­tely known as Kak, passed away on June 29, 2024, in Green, Ohio, at the age of 61. Born on September 29, 1962, in Akron, Ohio, Kathi was a spirited and fearless individual known for her adventurou­s soul. Kathi was one of the pioneering flight attendants for Jet Blue, retiring after 20 years of service. She enjoyed seeking thrills whether by attending concerts, riding her Harley, or skydiving.

Her dedication to her family was profound. She was a beloved mother to her daughter Kristen Lamtman and son-in-law Brian, and a cherished grandmothe­r to Lilly and Lyla. Kathi was also a devoted sister to Jim, Dan, Pat, and Bonnie, and a caring niece to Uncle Don Chappelear and Aunt Lee Schwarz. Her role as “Aunt Kak” was particular­ly special, bringing joy and excitement into the lives of her many nieces and nephews.

Kathi was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Chappelear Schlupe; her father, Thomas Walters; and her brothers, Jer, Bill, and Tom Walters. Her legacy of love, courage, and vivacity will live on through her family and the many friends who had the privilege of knowing her.

Services will be held Saturday, July 13th at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron, Ohio at 12:00. Kathi’s life and spirit will be honored and remembered as her family and friends gather to say their final goodbyes. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
