WEST CHESTER - Delores J. (“Jeannie”) Miller (nee George), 79 of West Chester, OH, passed away on June 9, 2024, from complicati­ons due to Parkinsoni­an Syndrome. She was born December 26, 1944, in Greenfield, OH and went by “Jeannie,” a nickname given by a babysitter who thought it more appropriat­e for a little girl. Jeannie graduated from McClain High School. She and her daughter made a visit to the beautiful high school campus in 2022 and reminisced by performing a chant Jeannie remembered from her cheerleadi­ng days. After graduation, Jeannie trained to be a dental hygienist and moved to Columbus, OH meeting Allen, her husband of 57 years, at her workplace. They married and moved to Cuyahoga Falls, OH where they raised their children and operated a dental lab until 2001. From 2001 to 2021, they lived near Hilton Head, SC, moving the dental lab to Rincon, GA. They enjoyed the warm weather, gardening, fishing, kayaking and visits from grandchild­ren. Jeannie was preceded in death by her husband, Allen D. Miller, and her parents. She is survived by her sister, Francis Baldwin; children, Katrina (Tom) English, Gregory Miller and Gary (Pam) Miller; grandchild­ren Lauren (Stephen) Jones, Madeline (Aaron) Benson, Nicholas Miller, Evan (Olivia) English, Matthew English, Margaux Miller, Elise English and Nathan Miller; great-grandchild­ren, Jay, Kacie and Leland Jones; and her beloved nieces and nephews. Jeannie preferred not to have a public funeral or memorial service. The immediate family will share a time together for remembranc­e.
