HUDSON - Rebecca Ann Thomas, age 71 of Hudson, Ohio, formerly of Minneola, Florida, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 4, 2024 surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, David C. and Annette (nee Sholle) Thomas; sister Susan (Vaughn) Hayes; and brother Patrick (Linda) Thomas. She is survived by her brothers David C. (Barbara) Thomas Jr., Shannon (Helena) Thomas, and John (Gail) Thomas; sister Sarah (Miner) Webster; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rebecca was a graduate of Hudson High School Class of 1971 and Brigham Young University Class of 1976. She was a dedicated teacher who loved her students.

Becky grew up loving our Savior Jesus Christ and in 1971 she was baptised into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She remained a devout disciple of Jesus Christ and was a great missionary for Him until the very end.

Becky was an optimistic bright light in the world who was driven to help others. She was born a gifted musician, writer, and performer and excelled in those creative artistic areas throughout her life. She, being of Welsh ancestry, was also born with an endless sense of humor and anyone fortunate enough to have known Becky, laughed with her often. Sore sides from laughter often followed time spent with Becky. She is remembered by many nieces and nephews as the fun Aunt who was always up for an adventure that inevitably led to a story to be told later. It is impossible to fully capture in words the remarkable force of life and love that Becky embodied and brought everywhere that she went. She made the world a better place. She loved people and made friends everywhere. She helped lift others in whatever way she could. She beautified the world around her. She set young people on good paths with inspired minds and hope in their hearts. She was generous, charitable, empathetic, and kind. She was faithful to the end. She leaves us too soon, wanting another story, another chance to laugh together, but she will always shine on in everything good around us, and we know we will meet again.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Mission MSA to support MSA research (www.missionmsa.org). A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 106 E Howe Rd, Tallmadge, OH 44278.
