HOLMES COUNTY - Juliann Semelsberg­er, age 69, of Holmes County, entered into eternal glory and rest on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton following a period of declining health. Her loving family was by her side.

Juliann was born on August 23, 1954 in Akron, Ohio to Thomas and Ruth (Murphy) Haley.

She later married Mark A. Semelsberg­er in 1975 in Akron, Ohio. He survives.

Being a mother was Juliann’s greatest joy and lifelong mission. She was a devoted homemaker who poured her life into her family, taking great pride in the work of home educating all of her children. To this end she helped establish the Christian Homeschool Educators of Holmes County over three decades ago.

She had attended St. Christophe­r’s Anglican Church in Wooster and most loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchild­ren.

In addition to her husband Mark, she is survived by her children, Nathan Semelsberg­er, Laura (Eric) Taggart, Daniel (Lauren) Semelsberg­er and Megan (Rhyse) Tennant; 5 grandchild­ren, Liam, Sylvie, Theo, Karenna and Miles; her brother, Stephen Haley, a sister, Lillian (Jim) Thompson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Haley.

Juliann lived her life with a sincere faith and deep hope in the Lord. Her sweet spirit of kindness and generosity will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Services will be on Sunday, December 17, 2023, 5:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., in Wooster with Fr. Clay Huffman officiatin­g.

Visitation for family and friends will be 2 hours prior (3:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.) to the services at the funeral home on Sunday.

A private committal graveside service will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron at the convenienc­e of the family.
