BLUES FANS HOWLING AFTER WOLVES DEFEAT

-

MATHEUS Cunha bagged a hat-trick as Wolves claimed a 4-2 comeback victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where the home supporters vented their anger at the stuttering Blues.

Cole Palmer put the hosts in front in the 19th minute, but Gary O’Neil’s team took control as Cunha drew level with a shot that deflected in off Thiago Silva.

Rayan Ait-Nouri’s shot bounced off Axel Disasi for an own goal as another deflection handed Wolves the lead just before half-time and Cunha starred in the second half, netting his second in the 63rd minute before completing his hat-trick from the penalty spot, sending Djordje Petrovic the wrong way.

Silva scored a consolation goal for Chelsea in the final stages but Mauricio Pochettino’s side were booed off by their supporters at half-time and again at the final whistle as Wolves replaced their hosts in the top half of the table.

Young forwards Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho starred for Manchester United as they beat West Ham 3-0 at Old Trafford.

Hojlund celebrated his 21st birthday in style, putting United ahead with his fourth Premier League goal in as many games before 19-year-old Garnacho scored twice in the second half. The result moves the Red Devils up into the top six, where they are two points above David Moyes’ Hammers.

Callum Hudson-Odoi rescued a point for Nottingham Forest as they drew 1-1 with Bournemouth.

Justin Kluivert gave the Cherries a fifth-minute lead, tapping the ball past January signing Matz Sels on his Forest debut but Hudson-Odoi levelled on the stroke of half-time.

Bournemouth were reduced to 10 men in the 84th minute when Philip Billing fouled the Forest goalscorer, but there was not enough time for the visitors to make their numerical advantage count.
