Paul said:“i have a passion for teaching so was honoured to be recognised by the faculty of Health Sciences and Sport at the University of Stirling.

“I have taught on the Master of Public Health course at the university since I joined NHS Forth Valley’s Public Health team as a registrar in 2021. Over the years I have broadened the topics covered within the course and used my experience as a public health doctor to enhance this material with professional learning. Going forward, I aim to build on this relationship and help expand the opportunities for students, the department and the faculty.”

Dr Sharon Oswald, Consultant Nurse and Advanced Practice Lead at NHS Forth Valley, said:“it is a great privilege to receive the award of Honorary Clinical Associate Professor from the University of Stirling.

“My collaboration and working relationship with the University of Stirling goes back more than 20 years.

“During this time, I have been involved in developing the curriculum for both undergraduate and post-graduate nursing across a wide range of areas, including acute illness, prescribing, diagnosis and decision-making.

“I am also an examiner on the clinical doctorate programme for expert practice.

“I look forward to continuing this strong working relationship with the university and contributing to the ongoing development of education and training to help meet our future healthcare workforce needs.”

Wendy Nimmo said:“i am absolutely delighted to be appointed as an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor by the University of Stirling.

“I am looking forward to building on our existing close relationship to expand on the work currently underway to increase research, innovation and quality improvement work which aims to improve healthcare outcomes for people who use our services.”
