Derby clash will be vital as Ponty welcome their big rivals Barry in JD Premier

IN the J.D. Cymru Premier League there is a South Wales derby tomorrow evening as Pontypridd United host Barry Town at their University of South Wales sports ground (5:15 pm kick off live on S4C online).

Gavin Allen has worked wonders at Ponty and the valleys club have picked up ten out of a possible twelve points since his appointmen­t at the beginning of February.

The smart turn around in form has kept Ponty out of the bottom two despite having a nine point deduction.

Steve Jenkins and Barry still have outside hopes of finishing seventh and their task would have been easier had they not conceded a 94thminute equalizer at home to Colwyn Bay last Saturday in a 1-1 draw.

Caerau Ely travel to a much improved Cambrian and Clydach in the Rhondda and Taffs Well will be looking for points away at Goytre United.

In the Ardal South West League Canton F.C. host Morriston Town at Leckwith, Cardiff Draconians are on the road to Port Talbot Town and Cardiff Corries visit Ynysygerwn A.F.C.
