Bringing the outside in w ith
Versatile, stylish and practical, bi-fold and sliding doors will open up your home to the garden
Now is the time to start appreciating our outdoor spaces. Fitting a stylish set of patio doors makes it easy to get out and enjoy the garden when it’s sunny, and to admire the lush green space when it’s framed by statement glazing.
Bi-fold doors
Origin’s award-winning bi-fold doors are perfect for tucking to one side and opening up the end of your living area to the outside. Its OB-72 Bi-fold Door has a traditional look, while the OB-49 Bi-fold Door has some of the slimmest sightlines on the market, maximising the amount of glazing and light.
Origin bi-fold doors are made bespoke in the UK, and can be tailored to suit any home. With more than 150 RAL colours to choose from, as well as dual colour options, it is easy to pick a shade to suit your space. Georgian or glazing bars can also be added for a characterful design twist.
The doors offer unrivalled strength and durability, while remaining lightweight and lowmaintenance. They also have an unbeatable level of security and can be configured to achieve the police-approved Secured by Design accreditation. Built to meet and exceed building regulations, Origin bi-fold doors have sophisticated weathertight seals and thermal breaks, keeping the elements out so energy bills stay low.
Sliding doors
Origin’s selection of sliding doors can bring the wow factor to any room, flooding spaces with light and framing a garden outlook. They create a seamless connection to the outside – and are perfect for entertaining, indoors or out. Slim sightlines allow for large expanses of glass that give uninterrupted views without compromising on quality or thermal performance.
The range consists of two systems – the Artisan Slider and the Patio Slider – with four different sightline options available. The Artisan Slider (OS-20) has the slimmest frames, boasting sightlines of just 20mm, to give panoramic views. The Patio Slider offers a more affordable, yet architecturally striking variation on the traditional patio door system, and is available in three sightlines: 77mm (OS-77), 44mm (OS-44), and 29mm (OS-29).
Crafted from premium-grade aluminium, Origin’s sliding doors are lightweight but strong, and are resilient to flexing, expanding, and contracting – unlike wood or UPVC. This means they can accommodate large expanses of glazing, creating almost an entire wall of glass.
Made bespoke and manufactured in the UK, the sliding doors are available in more than 150 RAL colours, and can be specified in a range of configurations.
They have weathertight seals and innovative thermal breaks, so are extremely thermally efficient, and can even exceed current building regulations. Both systems also feature an ultra-secure, multipoint locking system.

‘Splashbacks come in a variety of materials, including glass, stainless steel, stone and ceramic tiles. If you like to cook often with oils and spices, choose an option that’s easy to wipe down. If it’s to go behind a gas hob, avoid laminate splashbacks in case of heat damage. Use the splashback to add colour, pattern or the sheen of metallics; to update a kitchen quickly and affordably; or to highlight a feature – like a range cooker,’ says Dawn Filkins, head of creative at Smile Kitchens
