After the Flood ITV, 9pm
This intriguing new drama stars Gentleman Jack’s Sophie Rundle as PC Jo Marshall, who is about to be drawn into an intriguing mystery. It begins when the town of Waterside is hit by the biggest flood in its history (although with a name like that, the locals can’t say they weren’t warned). Despite the community’s best efforts to keep everyone safe, three people lose their lives, including one unidentified man whose body is found in a lift in the basement of an apartment block. The police assume he was trapped by the rising waters, until an autopsy reveals he died several days earlier. As Jo becomes obsessed with discovering who he was and how he got in the lift, it becomes clearer there are even bigger issues at stake, especially as the flood also threatens to expose the lies of local politicians and developers.
