Get to know some of the culinary stars who will be on the Main Stage at the National Geographic Traveller Food Festival, taking us on a gastronomic journey around the world
JOSÉ PIZARRO
Join Spanish chef and author José as he takes to the Main Stage for a live cooking demonstration. One of the UK’S most-respected names in Spanish cuisine, José is the man behind three London restaurants — José Tapas Bar, Pizarro Bermondsey and José Pizarro Broadgate — and opened his fourth outpost, The Swan Inn, in Surrey in 2019. He has also written five critically acclaimed cookbooks.
ALDO ZILLI
One of the country’s best-known celebrity chefs, Aldo is an awardwinning restaurateur specialising in Italian cuisine — and at the Festival he’ll be cooking up a storm on stage. Aldo was founder and chef-patron at some of London’s most exciting and innovative restaurants and is now a regular face on television and radio, both as a presenter and chef. He’s also penned 10 books, including autobiographies and cookbooks.
FUCHSIA DUNLOP
Fuchsia has been researching Chinese regional cookery for more than two decades and has written extensively on the country’s varied cuisine. Her books include Every Grain of Rice: Simple Chinese Home Cooking, as well as her most recent release, The Food of Sichuan, which was published in October 2019. Don’t miss our on-stage interview with Fuchsia, in which she’ll discuss her career and her love of Chinese food.
VANESSA BOLOSIER
Back by popular demand after appearing at the first Festival, Vanessa will be on the Main Stage, showing us all how to make one of her favourite dishes. The author of the critically acclaimed Creole Kitchen: Sunshine Flavours from the Caribbean — a book combining memories of growing up in the Caribbean with recipes from the islands — she’s also a regular columnist for Huffpost France.
