Ingoldmells not for motorhomers

-

Ingoldmells has two great car parks with signs stating ‘no campers or caravans’. So, the only place to park is in a cul-de-sac, which is usually full and not ideal for motorhomes.

The only other parking place is about a mile towards Skegness.

Ingoldmells is a great place to visit with the biggest open-air market in Europe, plus indoor markets and the big amusement park, which is called Fantasy Island.

ED Fantasy Island does state that it allows ’vans to park, but this excludes those with overnight accommodation.

We asked East Lindsay District Council for its feedback as it operates two car parks in Ingoldmells, one of which seems to have a height barrier according to the interactive parking map on its website. The parking team responded:

“We only have one car park in Ingoldmells, Sea Lane car park, which does not have a height barrier nor does it have allocated bays for motorhomes; they can park up over two bays but must purchase a ticket for each bay occupied.

“The other car park is Jacksons Corner, which as it’s on the foreshore (coastal) does have a height barrier.

“I can confirm all our foreshore (coastal) car parks do have height barriers and a couple of our town ones do, too, which can all be found on the interactive map along with the prices. However, for ease, the foreshore (coastal) car parks below do have height barriers: Skegness – Festival, North End, Princess Parade, Swimming Pool, Pierside Mablethorpe – Seaview

Winthorpe – Jacksons Corner

The below car parks do have allocated bays for motorhomes:

Chapel St Leonards – Well Vale Drive

Skegness – Richmond Drive Mablethorpe – Seacroft Road

Sutton-on-Sea – Broadway “In the rest of our car parks, if there is room, they can park up over two bays but still within the bay markings, but must purchase a ticket for each bay occupied. This is clearly stated on our website and on the regulations boards in each car park.

“Our website is currently under review due to multiple changes, so I will look to include some information to our main page.”
