A unique concert of ghazals and nazms, bringing you all the famous and popular songs with a new presentati­on.

The Ghazal Lounge UK team will be performing the evergreen ghazals and nazms (poetic forms).

Originally performed by artists such as Jagjit Singh, Mehdi Hassan, Pankaj Udhas, Ghulam Ali, Farida Khannum, Begum Akhtar, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Hariharan and other singers based on the famous poetry of Ghalib, Faiz, Ahmed Faraz, Nasir Kazmi, Momin, Sahir and other poets.

Ghazal Lounge UK is a recently formed collaborat­ive band of establishe­d artists, coming together after casually playing in a lounge in Chiswick as an experiment, turned out to be quite successful.

Their first concert was launched at the Harrow Arts Centre in September which was a full house. It was followed by another successful concert at Chelsea Theatre in November.

Featuring Dev Joshi on vocal and harmonium. Dev is a British-born artist and has been performing over 27 years, throughout the UK, USA, Canada, Europe and India. He has also sung in British films, advertisin­g campaigns for television and has collaborat­ed with European artists in Flamenco dance projects.

Pammi Saib is on guitar and mandolin. He is a music producer, artist and musician from West London. Shri Gadhvi is a music producer and percussion­ist from the London School of Tabla. He plays tabla and beatbox.

Kartik Udas is on keyboards and Lauric Mackintosh plays percussion. Lauric performs with both chart-topping artists and recently signed bands around London and has a bachelor’s degree in music. He also teaches drums to both children and adults.

Mehmet Raif plays bass guitar. He is a fulltime profession­al guitar and bass player, producer and composer. He is at the forefront of the contempora­ry London music scene.

Kumar Ragunathan plays the violin and Praveen Prathapan plays Bansuri (bamboo flute). Praveen is known by his stage name The Flute Guy and is a British Indian/Sri-Lankan musician. He is an Oxford graduate and is passionate about music and an advocate for mental health, performing around the world.
