Robins’ Hall is in impressive try-scoring company

-

RYAN Hall made history on Friday as the Hull KR winger became Super League’s all-time leading try scorer.

The Robins star scored tries 247 and 248 to see him equal and quickly surpass the record that had been held by Danny Mcguire for several years.

Hall has been second in the list for some time, but he is now on top, for now at least, with Leigh Leopards winger Josh Charnley only nine tries behind him at present.

Charnley, along with Hall and Mcguire, are the only three players in the competition’s history to score more than 200.

Only one other player in the top ten is still actively playing in Super League. That is Tommy Makinson, who is two tries short of moving to seventh in the list.

Jermaine Mcgillvary is sixth, though he is playing in the Championship with Wakefield this year.

There are some prolific try-scorers on the list that Hall now sits top of, but what makes it even more impressive is just how far ahead he is of many of them. It’s very much a testament of his longevity and consistency.

With Hall now on top, here’s an updated list of Super League’s top scorers in history.
