LAURA ASHLEY’S LATEST COLLECTION AT NEXT IS FULL OF FURNISHINGS THAT ARE ELEGANT, PRETTY AND PERFECT FOR TIMELESS INTERIORS
RENOWNED the world over for its quintessential British style, Laura Ashley is a brand that needs no introduction. Its name has been synonymous with pattern for over 70 years, so the latest collection – available at Next – is a celebration of this rich legacy. Unearthing treasures from the archive, as well as introducing new future classics, the Spring Summer range champions a variety of looks, including ones that offer a modern take on Laura Ashley’s timeless designs. And the collection includes textiles, wallpapers, furniture and accessories to ensure cohesive schemes.
Secret Garden (above) is one look in the collection. The Secret Garden prints feature romantic floral motifs that create a feeling of nostalgia and grandeur – Wild Roses, based on a design from 1997, Mosedale Posy (above right), inspired by an antique wallpaper found in the archives, and the Pickworth Posy wallpaper (above left). True to classic Laura Ashley style, these are paired with ticking stripes, such as the Farnworth Stripe (above left), resulting in an interior with an artfully eclectic, unmistakably English feel. You’ll find elegant upholstered pieces, too – a sofa, armchair and chaise longue. With their relaxed yet refined silhouettes, the Lynden sofa (above left), armchair and chaise fit seamlessly with the Secret Garden look but their classic lines, teamed with Laura Ashley’s beautiful upholstery fabrics, give them the versatility to suit a multitude of homes. Lighting is similarly exquisite in the Spring Summer collection. You can create drama with the Harrington ceiling pendant (above left) or add subtle shapeliness with the Norbury bobble table lamp (above left). The collection’s On The Waterfront story is a fresh take on coastal – think cheerful blues and sunny yellows – and for a tranquil scheme, there’s the Serene Sanctuary look, which has whimsical watercolour-style florals.
