City’s King Tut’s scoops top award at glitzy bash
A GLASGOW entertainment venue has scooped a big prize at an awards ceremony.
King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on St Vincent Street in the city centre won the Live Entertainment Venue/ Nightclub of the Year accolade at the Scottish Hospitality Awards 2024.
The ceremony aims to highlight ‘ excellence’ in Scotland’s ‘ vibrant hospitality industry’.
The awards are also aimed at celebrating the ‘ outstanding achievements’ of businesses and individuals who have made ‘ exceptional contributions’ to the hospitality sector across the country.
The event took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow on Monday.
Other winners from the awards for Glasgow include Hollywood Bowl who scooped the Best Entertaining Team award, The Quay Glasgow who won the Best Shopping/ Entertainment Complex of the Year accolade, Radisson Red who won the City Hotel of the Year prize, and Hillington Glasgow who scooped the Best Dining Experience award.
Following The Quay Glasgow’s award wins, a spokesperson for the facility said: ‘’ Everyone in the team is delighted to have won these two awards up against very strong competition in both categories.
“To be recognised as Scotland’s Best Entertainment Complex and also Scotland’s Best Entertainment Team for Hollywood Bowl is just amazing. ‘’
